About Thrifting Dept

Thrifting Dept started with a simple habit — digging through boxes. For several years we have been sourcing and selling second-hand clothing, mostly through eBay, where we have built up over 2,500 sales and 99.7 % positive feedback. This site is where we put the pieces we think are the best of what we find.

Every item here is one of one. Nothing is ordered by the crate or bought from a list — each piece is picked by hand, inspected and photographed exactly as it is. If there is a stain, a worn patch or a missing button, it will be in the description and visible in the photos. Second-hand clothes come with a history, and we don't hide it.

We lean towards older garments for more than just the look. The construction, fabrics and detailing of 80s and 90s clothing often beat what hangs in a shopping centre today. And honestly — one new garment not bought does more for the planet than any green label on a tag.
